Another Busy Weekend

Friday was another Grandma Monica day here. She and E ate some cereal, played and went for a walk. That night Oma Teresa & Sir came over to watch Emerson, feed him his dinner and play with him. This was the first time we had someone over to watch Emerson at night and do his night and bedtime routine. All went well and our little E did just fine. Meanwhile, we went to the Brad Paisley concert at Fiddlers Green. It was a great show that had Jimmy Wayne & Dierks Bentley opening. The weather was perfect! Sweatshirt weather - not too hot and a nice breeze to keep you cool. We spread our blanket out on the lawn with Mikey & Sarah and enjoyed the show. It's always fun to go to a show where you know all the songs and can sing along. Brad is an incredibly talented artist and put on a wonderful concert for us, even though he was a little out of breath a few times thanks to our altitude.

Saturday we headed to Fort Collins for Emerson's first CSU game. We went with Mikey & Sarah, (can you tell we do a lot with them? LOL) When we got to town we stopped at the bookstore to get Emerson some more Ram's gear and then grabbed Silver Mine Subs before heading to the stadium. It was a pretty warm day and we didn't know how E would do. We slathered him with sunscreen (first time! now that he's 6 months old) and put on his sunglasses (that finally fit) and new hat before heading in. Overall he did great. I had to walk him once in the first quarter and Sarah walked him for a little bit in the second quarter and then it was my turn again the last ten minutes of the game. He ate, slept and people watched. He wasn't that interested in the game. LOL. Oh, and his Daddy did great! No yelling! If you haven't been to a CSU game with my sweet, mild mannered husband you may find this hard to believe but Robert is exceptionally loud and fired up at CSU games. He said it would be different someday when we had kids but I didn't believe it. Well, he surprised me. On our way out of town we grabbed dinner at 5 Guys.

Yesterday we ran some errands and caught up on a few things around the house. It seems like time is going faster these days. We can't believe how big our baby boy is already!
