Time to catch our loyal readers up on the goings on of the Sudar Familia!
Friday, the 4th, was Grandma Monica's day to watch Emerson. It was also the day she called and said "I didn't know Emerson could sit up on his own!" To which I replied "He can't", and she said "Um, he can now..." I came home to find the two of them on a quilt in the living room with Emerson sitting unassisted! So crazy. He can do new "tricks" every week. That night we headed out to the Schulte's for dinner where we were able to visit with Kate & Damion and see how big Miss Iris has gotten. It was a very nice dinner and relaxing time with friends.
Saturday we ran some errands and then met up with Sir & Oma Teresa for dinner to celebrate Sir's birthday. Emerson was very good and even smiled when Sir played peek-a-boo behind his menu. Afterwards they came back to our house to see Emerson jump in his Jumperoo. Emerson loves the one at school so we bought a used one from one of his teachers. Man, does this kid love to jump. We put him in there and he's totally content for a half an hour jumping and grinning away.
Sunday we had breakfast with Nonie Ger & Grandpa Ace. They came up from Texas for a high school reunion and made it up here to the Metro area for breakfast. Dena, Scott, Jack and Scott's parents were also there. Breakfast was delicious and afterward the Sudars & Christensen's came to our house where the boys played and we took some family photos. That afternoon we headed over to Mikey & Sarah's to watch the CSU/CU game. We were so excited to get E all decked out in his Ram gear and have him in attendance for the biggest game of the year. The Rams dominated the Buffs so we were ecstatic. E was a little scared everytime there was a big play and people cheer/yelled. Everyone at the party was nice enough to tone down their exuberance after the first few times this happened.
Monday found us relaxing around the house and getting some other odds and ends done. All in all Emerson's first Labor Day was great!
