My First Thanksgiving!
Based on our holiday rotation, it was time for Thanksgiving in Texas. We flew out the morning of Thanksgiving. It was actually a great idea because the airport was dead. We breezed through security and spent some time relaxing at the gate. Emerson did great on the flight (his fifth!) and we had no problems. Nonie Ger and Grandpa Ace picked us up at the airport and then we went back to their house for our Thanksgiving feast. We let Emerson have his first taste of mashed potatoes. He didn't like the first bite but liked the second bite.
Friday morning we left Emerson in Nonie Ger's care and we went out Black Friday shopping. We were able to get some awesome deals and we also picked up a new digital camera Robert had been researching. We were able to see our friends Tyson and Aimee for dinner on that night. The rest of the weekend was spent relaxing and spending time together. On Sunday night we had Uncle Chaz, Aunt Carolyn and the Hudspeths over for dinner. It was wonderful for Emerson to meet some of the Texas folk.
We flew back home on Tuesday. Emerson did great on the flight but by the time we were driving home we were all done traveling. I think Gus was happy we all came back home. We are so thankful we were able to spend time with Bob and Geri and are excited for our next trip to Texas which should be this summer for Robert's high school reunion.
