Last week Emerson turned 10 Months Old! So big so fast! Here are some things Emerson is doing at 10 months old:
- First steps!
- Can stand for close to a minute unsupported
- Gets around a room holding on to furniture and transferring from piece to piece
- Says something close to dog and this
- Likes to throw things - including out of his crib
- Crawls with toys in his hands.
- Can roll a ball back and forth.
- Can remove his paci from his mouth when he wants to talk, needs to cough, etc. and return it back to his mouth
- Began eating some table foods. Enjoys mashed potatoes and lunchmeat the most
- Signing "more" more often
- Signing milk but when he's eating, not necessarily when it's time for milk
- Loves engaging with Mommy & Daddy
- Continues to enjoy music. Likes The Mexican Hat Dance, Old McDonald & the silly songs Mommy makes up for him.
- Turning into a little chatter box!
- Listens atentively and will sit still long enough to read a short book
- Likes when Mommy & Daddy go through his animal flashcards with him
- Still sleeping through the night
- Has 8 teeth!
- Gets very excited when he hears the bath water running and we get him undressed for the tub
- Loves to brush his teeth
- Likes to push things - his hippo toy that eats blocks, the laundry hamper
- Has become best buddies with Gus and is getting better at giving him gentle pets. He thinks it's funny when Gus chases his tail.
- His favorite toys are his wiffle ball, his Noah's ark animals (especially the zebras), his cars and LG (Little Gus - stuffed pug)
- Loves school and cries as his friends go home (we work later than most of the parents so he's frequently the last one there)
- Enjoys his swimming lessons. Likes to splash and play with the pool toys.
- One day when my mom was leaving (and was out of eye sight) I said "where's Grandma?" and he turned and looked directly at her!
Emerson, an elephant and his wiffle ball!

Of course he loves his zebras. His dad loves Zebrahead. And who wouldn't love deli meat? Booya to the little man!
