Emerson has been to quite a few birthday celebrations during his short life. But earlier this month was the first time that he was invited to a friend's party. His friend Davis turned 2 and invited E to his bash. It was a Cars themed party at Romp and Roll in Highlands Ranch. This is a cool indoor gym for tots. Emerson was one of the younger guests so he wasn't running around or in the jumpy house. But he did get to go down a smaller slide, play with lots of toys and walk around (holding on to our hands of course) checking the other kids out. There was a portion of the party where the instructor got out musical instruments for the kids. I gave Emerson a mini maraca which he LOVED! This kid enjoys music that's for sure. He had a great time - even though we didn't let him have cake. Mean parents!
Before the party we were able to stop by and say happy birthday to Great-Grandpa Crandell. We visited with Gram and him at their house and Emerson showed them how he could push his car around the living room, crawl and walk with assistance. It is so special to see Emerson with his great-grandparents. We are so lucky that he gets to know them.
After the party we headed out to the Schulte's house for a visit with Kate, Damion and Iris (that little doll!) We had pizza and watched the kids play. E is so lucky to have so many friends his age to play with!

Glad he had fun! I was wondering if there were things for kids E and Jacks' age at Romp and Roll.
