On Sunday March 14th we headed over to Dena, Scott & Jack's house for a joint cousin birthday bash. As many of you will remember Jack was born 25 hours before Emerson. Scott's dad was there, as was his aunt who was visiting from Nebraska. Uncle John, Jim and Carla were there and Aunt Marian came up from Walsenburg to help us celebrate. The boy munched away in their high chairs while the rest of us had small sandwiches and chips. Next up was the craft. Dena had bought these muslin hand puppets and fabric markers for the boys to decorate with. Emerson left his mark on his. Afterwards they opened their gifts. Or should I say they opened each other's gifts. No matter what they were opening they were more interested in what the other had. Isn't that the way it goes. And then the finale - CAKE! Dena made an awesome cake for the boys complete with candles spelling out their names. It was delicious! This was Emerson's first taste of cake which he devoured and then fell asleep in his high chair. Partying is hard work. A big thank you to Dena for all the time and effort she spent to make it such a great party!
It's my party and I'll sleep if I want to!
