For months I have been frustrated with Emerson's current daycare. They can't seem to get his schedule down or do the little things I ask them to do. The biggest problem is that there are different people throughout the day and throughout the week. As a result I end up saying the same thing over and over again to different people and I feel like a broken record. One of the things I have asked is for them not to give him any new foods without calling me first. Emerson is still trying new things and he shouldn't be eating anything for the first time at school according to their policies. However, there have been several instances where they give him things without checking with me. All this came to a head the first week in March when they give him chocolate cookies one day. Great. Then, the next day he came home with bleach all over his pants. They use a dilluted bleach solution to spray down the changing table and apparently "the bleach was too strong". There has been a lot of other things that have happened but this was kind of the last straw. So after hearing me vent yet again that night Robert said "I think it's time to find a new place." So last week I called our 2nd choice from when we toured and then Emerson and I dropped by one night to check it out. And the decision was made - Emerson is changing daycare facilities. His last day at the current daycare will be next Thursday, March 25th. And then he'll start at the new school on Monday, March 29th.
It was a hard decision to make. The teachers at his current school really do love and care for Emerson. The problem is they can not seem to follow my instructions or offer the type of care we're looking for. At the new school E will have the same two teachers every day. One will be there in the morning until 2:30 and the other will be there from 2:30 until we pick him up. They work on a lot of developmental things in the morning, do art three times a week and have lots of storytime and play time. He'll be in a class with 4-6 other kids all of whom are transitioning from crawling to walking. We're very excited about the new school and think it will be a better fit for us and most importantly Emerson.

You gotta do what is best for him! Your such good parents to recognize when things will not get better and just change it! Way to go! I am sure he will love his new place!
