New Year's Day brought another week! Here's what BabyCenter.com has to say about Week 29:
Your baby is growing rapidly now. This week he weighs about 2 1/2 pounds (like a butternut squash) and is a tad over 15 inches long from head to heel. His muscles and lungs are continuing to mature, and his head is getting bigger to accommodate his growing brain — which is busy developing billions of neurons. Every day, about 200 milligrams of calcium is deposited in your baby's skeleton, which is now hardening. With this rapid growth, it's no surprise that your baby's nutritional needs reach their peak during this trimester.
New Year's Eve we went to our friends Kate & Damion's house for a murder mystery party and the theme was Murder at Mardi Gras. Robert was the family lawyer and best friend of the deceased and I was the eccentric novelist next door neighbor. It was a very fun evening capped off by the revelation that Robert was the murderer... shocking! We had a great time and will definitely do more of those parties in the future.
Since our last post there has been much activity at the Sudar house. We organized the closets in the office and the guest room and got rid of a bunch of crap that we don't really know why we were holding on to. We organized the office and converted it into the guest room and Robert started painting the nursery! We ordered the fabric for the nursery and Grandma Monica will start on the bumpers, crib skirt, changing pad covers and curtains once it arrives. AND we ordered the crib which should arrive in 2 to 3 weeks. We also put away our Christmas decorations and did some other things around the house. We have been very busy nesting! Oh, and we had lunch with Dena, Scott & Uncle John to celebrate the January birthdays.

The image of having a gourd in your belly is quite hilarious. I like the picture! (Not that I'm one to talk)
