Look at that ticker! So much accomplished and so little left! Now's when Mommy and Daddy start freaking out about how much we have left to do - argh!
Here's what BabyCenter.com has to say about this week:
Your baby's about 15.7 inches long now, and he weighs almost 3 pounds (like a head of cabbage). A pint and a half of amniotic fluid surrounds him, but that volume will decrease as he gets bigger and takes up more room in your uterus. His eyesight continues to develop, though it's not very keen; even after he's born, he'll keep his eyes closed for a good part of the day. When he does open them, he'll respond to changes in light but will have 20/400 vision — which means he can only make out objects a few inches from his face. (Normal adult vision is 20/20.)
Let's hope he gets his Daddy's vision because his Mama's is definitely NOT 20/20 - I thought that was just a TV show. LOL. Anyway, the last week has been productive. This past weekend we ordered Sudsie's crib (will take 2-3 weeks to arrive) and bought the paint for his nursery. We started painting last weekend and then Robert has worked the rest of the week (Mama's been too tired) on finishing up the painting. Last night he cut all the chair rail so this weekend he will paint and install it. . Hopefully next week we can post pictures of the completed look. We'll probably post pics again once we have the crib up and the wall art hung. Tomorrow we have our first baby class - Baby Safe - in the morning.
We went to the doctor on Tuesday for our 30 week check up. I'm now going every two weeks. Everything seems good. His ultrasound photos from last week are good, I'm measuring good and I passed my glucose test! I asked her "did I get an A+?" Such an over achiever! LOL
I'm still feeling good. My back aches a little in the evening and the heartburn has increased slightly. I'm definitely noticing that the Third Trimester Tiredness is kicking in. I'll have Robert take another bump photo this weekend and we'll post the last ultrasound pics.
