Holy Cow! Less than 50 days to go!
Here's what BabyCenter.com has to say about this week:
This week your baby weighs a little over 4 pounds (heft of a pineapple) and has passed the 17-inch mark. He's rapidly losing that wrinkled, alien look and his skeleton is hardening. The bones in his skull aren't fused together, which allows them to move and slightly overlap, thus making it easier for him to fit through the birth canal. These bones don't entirely fuse until early adulthood, so they can grow as his brain and other tissue expands during infancy and childhood.
This past weekend was another busy one for the Sudars. Friday night we ran errands. Saturday I had a Discovery Toys party at my house since my sister-in-law Cerissa is now a representative for them. (Speaking of which, if you're interested in Discovery Toys let me know and I'll set you up with Cerissa). Saturday was Grandma Teresa's birthday so we stopped by her and Dad's house for a while before grabbing some dinner and watching movies at home. Sunday we had lunch with my friend Alyson and her boyfriend Matt and then ran more errands. Sunday night was dinner at John and Vicki's house with Mikey and Sarah. Where we got to see that little cutie, Riley, who's getting bigger every day!
Tuesday we had another ultrasound. Robert was in training and couldn't make it. Sudsie looks great and is measuring a couple of days a head. Here's hoping for my St. Patrick's Day Baby! They estimated his weight at 4 lbs and 12 oz. He was in the breach position and still folded in half with his feet up by his head. That crazy kid! The ultrasound tech said he looked great so we're happy. In other Sudsie news, he continues to spend quite a bit of time in my ribs and moves around a lot. I'm definitely more tired in the evenings and I think I've experienced Braxton Hicks a couple of times this week. Ah, milestones! People keep asking "are you ready to be done?" or "are you uncomfortable?" But I feel lucky because I'm really not that uncomfortable yet.
This week Robert has spent every night getting the downstairs ready for our new floors. Starting tomorrow night there will be a team of guys dismantling my current floor and installing hardwood laminate floors. I can't wait for this little project to be over. It will be so nice to have the new floors in and our house back together. I've spent the week trying to check items off the "Things to do before Sudsie's Arrival" list. We're making progress.
I haven't done this in a while so:
Cravings - chocolate milkshakes, pineapple and Simply Lemonade
Other Milestones - had my first stranger-touching-belly-experience. This crazy lady by the elevators at work. So weird!

Is Trey truly losing his "alien" look? I would say not. All babies look like little alien/gremlins when they pop out!
